LADIES OF BLUES & SOUL
Diane Blue is a multitalented performer who is equally at home belting out a tune or cutting loose with a ferocious harmonica solo. She is currently the vocalist with Ronnie Earl’s band, “theBroadcasters” and was voted Outstanding Female Vocalist in the 2015 Blues Audience reader’s poll. Her performances are captivating and heartfelt. Diane has shared the stage with many greats including Muddy Waters’ guitarist Luther “Guitar Jr.” Johnson, Irma Thomas, Toni Lynn Washington and the late Big Jack Johnson of Clarksdale, Mississippi who called Diane a “monster on the harp.” Lisa Mann hails from blues-soaked Portland, OR, where she has been inducted in the Cascade Blues Association's Hall of Fame. Originally from West Virginia, Mann's voice effortlessly straddles the line between the honey sweet warmth of the South, and the force-of-nature sound Mann has cultivated by mastering everything from rock to Memphis soul. Her clever blues balladry is complimented by her considerable prowess on bass, with grooves that touch on the hallowed soil of Soul greats James Jamerson and Bob Babbit.Myanna is one of the hottest and most soulful saxophonists to be based in Massachusetts.
